|| Rachel E. Carlson
Information Systems Security Officer / IT Manager
Rachel has been with Bankers' Bank Northeast since October 2000 as Help Desk/IT Administrator. Rachel has always been very involved in technology for the Bank and continues to be the go-to person for the Bank’s technology needs. Over the years, she has moved up from “help desk person” where she was responsible for setting up computers, mini-LANS and the like to a role that encompasses the responsibilities of an IT Analyst, and IT Project Manger, including IT security, policies & procedures.
In addition to overseeing the daily activities for IT, she manages all aspects of the IT infrastructure, training of junior IT employees and ensuring that the BBN environment remains up-to-date with the most current network security and virus protection. Implementing Voice Over IP telephony, Information Security Training, BCP/DRP Training & Awareness, Pandemic Training and a total redesign of the Bank’s Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plan are among her recent successes.
In addition, Rachel chairs the Bank’s Information Technology Committee. She is not only pivotal in implementing and planning IT projects for the Bank, she is also adept at conducting research into all areas of IT issues and products and makes recommendations as appropriate to the Bank’s infrastructure in accordance with the Bank’s overall strategic goals and objectives.
Rachel previously worked as an Administrative Assistant for a commercial real estate firm. Her responsibilities included the design of marketing materials, maintaining the central filing system and resource libraries, Microsoft training, and serving as the ISO 9002 internal auditor.
Rachel received her Associates Degree in Network Technology in the spring of 2006 from Manchester Community Technical College and received certification in August 2010 from ICBA Community Bank Information Technology Institute.
